This is what former participants say:

    Selin Husky Expedition 2018

All participants were picked up by FernWind in Moscow one the day before the expedition started and we went to Kostroma by bus. After arrival, we went to bed early to be well rested for the first day of training. During the following three days we learned how to lead a dog sledge and manage the dogs. In between there was a cultural programme: a guided tour through the Ipatiev Monastery and through the city of Kostroma. The third group was lucky enough to also experience the traditional “butter week” festival Maslenitsa. On the fifth day we set off for our husky expedition and traveled 18 to 22 kilometers each day through snowy landscapes. Each person led their own sledge with four to eight dogs and helped with taking care of the animals. Each night, a different hut for resting was waiting for us, some of them included a traditional sauna (banya). On the tenth day of the expedition we returned to Kostroma, and after some final activities and sad good-byes we headed home.
